  • The wet walls were constructed of multiple layers. Trim was heavily integrated with second layer of wall. These walls had a huge cork board covering a major part of the wall. It was not possible to remove the trim without damaging the cork. With the method I used to dry the wet walls only small holes had to be patched and a small piece of trim painted. The cost of repairs was negligible. We saved the customer alot of headache and the insurance company alot of money. Thank You for the comment.

  • It is different for each job, depending on the size of the water damage situation. There were at least 3 Injectidry Systems used on this flood. The cost to have removed multiple layers of wet wall and repair the resulting demo would have been very substantial. In this case only little holes had to be caulked and a piece of trim painted. There was very little disruption to on going business.

  • How much would something like this cost?

  • @lilhavin The cost is different for every job. The injectidry System can save a substantial amount of repair and replacement costs. If the system can save money, we use it. If not we use another method. Sometimes demolition is your only option. There is no one right answer because of the many drying systems and construction methods. Water Damage Restoration is a very complicated business. With 20+ years of experience it is still challenging to decide on the one "right" method to dry. Clay King

  • Why drill the holes? Why not vortex dry. If you had to be more agressive and use the injectidry try exhausting the dehumidifier into the intake of the injectidry. I don't like the injectidry fro dring walls but use the Max Force wall drying system.

  • @reh4353 We had multiple layers of wet wall, with multiple layers of paint. Then there was a sound board/ cork board over that. Too have removed and replaced all the wet wall would have been very costly. By drying the wet wall with forced hot air from the Injectidry System, we were able to dry the water damaged walls, and save them. There was also an on going business to protect. By using The Injectidry System there was no demolition needed. Only patching small holes and painting the base trim.
