The Elite Tone "Fuzz Monster" is a dual stage effect pedal with two seperate circuits for the germanium and silicon fuzzes. First the input signal goes through the germanium circuit first and secondly the silicon for ideal signal and output. Finally the signal hits the silicon fuzz circuit, before exiting the effect. The two can be both on or used in single function.

- Silicon Circuit is the last leg of the Fuzz Face heritage into the early 1970's. Operation is easy, two blue knobs on the back for volume and fuzz.

- The Ge/On is enabled by its corresponding footswitch and turns on the LED light showing that the germanium circuit is active. You will notice that there are 6 knobs, 4 red for GE and 2 blue for the Silicon Trans.

- Jimi Hendrix Footswitch is activated by the footswitch to the far left. This is in fact exactly how Jimi had his germanium fuzz face's modified by his tech and not commercially available at the time. No one fuzz pedal with set parts nails it just right, until now!!! The advantage Jimi derived from it is simple; more saturation and sustain... it also tends to add grit while the lower notes have a sustaining violin quality.

Seems to have a lot of options.

  • Yeah, this is one of the best fuzz pedals I've ever used! The 2 blue silicon knobs are on the back of the pedal.
