This looks like a great tool
-
Have you thought about stamp collecting?
-
@TheMohsell hotair is useful in the general process such as setting after stenciling. However for the dismounting or mounting the BGA to the board you really should use a infrared rework station
-
If done correctly no, However you really should use the right attechment for the job, In this case he should of used a QFT air nozzle (focuses the air at all the pins and non to the chip it self). You should also insolate areas near the part your working on with aluminium foil and such to prevent thermal stress. Another factor is preheating the board, to further reduce any sudden thermal shock.

I just wanted to know if a soldering / desoldering hot air does not destroy the components CI?
-
Which model microscope do you have?

Hi , can i use this station to rework BGA ?
-
you forget to clean the PCB before you apply the solder paste.

I am a bit confused - that looks like a 852A++ with vacuum tool. Does the 852A+ (single plus) not come with this vacuum tool? Or does have something to take its place? Appreciate any comments.

@younot2funny It is in fact an 852A++. I'm not sure if there are versions that don't include the pickup tools or not (seems like I remember there were, but I'm not all that sure). Personally I haven't found the pickup tool to be very useful. If I had it to do over again, I might be inclined to find some kind of cordless pickup tool as it would be a lot more convenient.

@donnyab: No problems with it as of yet; I have used it on several projects so far.
