U2 - The Cry / Electric Co. (Late Night In Concert) 1981 Berlin

This is U2 at their very best and it's no wonder they went on to bigger things. This was broadcast before they appeared on the TV programme 'The Tube' which has since taken the credit as the programme that 'discovered' U2. They were already on their way when the BBC filmed them for this Late Night In Concert programme introduced by Annie Nightingale on 20/07/82, in Berlin. From their best album Boy. The cabaret like inclusion of Send In the Clowns (Crowds) shows,for me, how they were from the same mould as Gavin Friday and the Virgin Prunes.

why has no one commented this video except for a year ago.....also..i wish they had "Cry / Electric Co." from the vertigo in chicago in 2005 on itunes!!!!!! gahhhh!!!! i like that one a lot

this is not grainy at all....good quality....and sound....can't wait for Under A Blood Red Sky DVD to be released at the end of the month....sept 2008
