So my question to you is.... when you caught that monster where you bait fishing or fly fishing? I mean you had that little cutthroat on a fly but caught the dolly varden on the small trout? It's a great catch! I snapped a 4wt rod in 3 spots on a large mouth bass as I was pulling in a small sunfish.

Thats a great question. I guess I was fly fishing to start and than ended up bait fishing by accident. My 6 wt was up to the task although barely, how big was the bass that snapped your rod? Did you land it?

Hi Captain: Great video!!!! I am a Chilean angler and I lived a similar experience in Patagonia....Believe it or not a 3 kgs brown trout grabed an 8 inches rainbow hooked to my cousins stone fjy. The difference with yours is that the stone fly was not hooked to the brown trout but she would'nt let go eventhoug my cousin lifted her in the air to release her....unfotunately it was pouring rain and I didn't get it on film....but it will always stay in our souls.....art.....just art.....
