(One year too late...) but no, the bass track sounds to me like a 60 cycle hum!! Just goes to show you can get anything to sound musical if you give it a lil beat!

when you press the compressor on i noticed you turn off the orange light is not supposed to be the opposite way? just to be sure! thank for the videos they are a great tool!

I have Cubase studio 4 and I can't do sidechain, that orange button doesn't exist in my compression! Can someone please help me, or do I need to have cubase 4.1 ?!??

There's a workaround for that. Use db Audioware Sidedyn or Side Chaining compressors. They work in any VST host. I used them in Cubase SX3 a lot (didn't have native side chaining like 4 does). Cheers!

Yeah, there was lots of line noise in the sample. Haha. You get the idea though. I should've used a Virus synth patch for it or something but what's done is done.
