If your having the problem where you press new game and your ROM goes into colors and then just a black screen do this.
1) Start Up Pokemon Platinum.
2) When you get to the home screen where it has "Pokemon" in big letters go into the menu(Bottom left corner)
3) Select Quit
4) Select Save State To New File
5) Start up that save file
6) Press start then new game
7) Enjoy Pokemon Platinum :)
