  • the american style! if you fuck up something just leave it there and let someone else take care of it.

  • This is too formal, I think it's absolutely normal to just lean down and grab it, then ask for a new one.

  • people leave the silverware on the floor because there are servers/waiters to pick it up for you. She's correct. The worst thing you can do to embarrass yourselves in a very formal set-up is to make too much unnecessary movements on the table... but if I'm in a home of a friend, I think I would rather pick it up as a form of apology to the host.

  • damn...if you drop it pick it up your own damn self.

  • I took etiquette classes ( mandatory in private school -4th grade) & they never once told us that if we were to drop a piece of silverware to LEAVE IT THERE!!! ..that is just gross & AWKWARD!! lol... who just leaves it there?? I wouldn't even be able to go on with the dinner cause i'd be so conscious of my fork on the floor with some food still on it and probably messing up the carpet/hardwood...

  • That poxy advert lasts longer then the video clip.Trust the Americans to shove an advert in!

  • Guys this is for formal settings like dining with the queen or a military ball. if you are at ihop and you drop silverware, by all means pick it up. its called etiquette

  • people like this are useless in life....

  • The way she drops the fork looks so sexy.

  • Well where I am if you drop something you better pick it up. you dont leave your crap on my floor lol.

  • haha,if you dont ask for a CLEAN napkin, the waiter will take someones dirty napkin and give it to you

  • Isn't it rude to just leave it there on the floor???
