Potassium Chlorate is a strong oxidizer. In this demonstration, it is heated and a sugar cube is then added. The reaction in the video is the result.

  • Very true! Anything with sugar in it works very well. I didn't have any gummy bears with me, but I think I will film a VS. video with a bunch of different candies soon. :)

  • @kcirtap1423yes you'll get a very similar effect but nothing as powerful as with KClO3.
