No, this is about quality. You're just expressing your opinion. I also prefer the original, but in fact this is a very good cover. You know... some people just do a copy. This is a -performance-

IMHO, It is rare that a cover is better than the original, especially if the original was written by the artist who first performed it, not delivered to them to sing. I liked Phil Collins with Genesis, and I liked him solo before Genesis, but I have disliked just about everything he's done since Genesis. I am not a huge Mariah fan, though I do recognize her incredible talent. I prefer her version to the original. She just seems to identify so strongly with this song, she made it her's.
