Stewardship Partners Receives Award

On May 1st, 2008 Stewardship Partners along with Wilcox Farms, Jones & Jones, the Nisqually River Council, and the Nisqually Tribe received the Innovative Conservation Project Award at Cascade Land Conservancy's annual breakfast. This prestigious award honors the legacy of collaborative conservation in the Nisqually Watershed and our work in bringing together diverse stakeholders. In particular, it highlighted Wilcox Farms' environmental commitment, as evidenced through their Salmon-Safe certification, restoration work with the Nisqually Tribe, and work with Jones & Jones to showcase the salmon-bearing streams on their property, all efforts which help them stand out in the community and marketplace. This award recognizes the work being done in the Nisqually Watershed and substantiates its effectiveness.
