Joe Ramirez & Dan Stroehlein departed in a 1976 Cessna 172M Skyhawk II from (KCRG) rwy 14 VFR to the South to (X47) Bunnell-Flager to view an ontime 7:38pm launch of STS-117 Shuttle Atlantis from the air. We were at FL 3,500 South of Bunnell, Fl and just North of the TFR in place for the Launch. It was an awesome flight.....what a view from the air!

Thanks.....That's our next shuttle launch goal, a night launch. Very hazy when we shot this launch and we were still able to see from the plane the (SRB's) solid rocket boosters seperate from the shuttle. Where do you live?
