Woman escapes Perry Township fire, firefighter taken to hospital for minor injury.

PERRY TWP. A woman escaped her burning home on Parkland Avenue SW around 12:30 this afternoon.
Perry Township Fire Chief Tom Ross said initially firefighters had to back out of the house as they struggled to put out the fire in the two-story structure at 214 Parkland.
A firefighter was taken to an area hospital after suffering a cut hand during initial efforts to douse the fire.
Jackson, Plain and Canton township fire departments assisted Perry and were still on the scene at 1:30 p.m.
Ross said he did not yet know the cause of the blaze.
