We don't have the same accent. I'm from New York City and I sound way different than someone from a state like Texas for example.

There are different accents in England too, you can easily tell the difference between someone from Edinburgh, London, or Yorkshire

we southerners do not sound like hillbilly stereo type much we do have a growly drawl to are accent that's what my friends from Russia and France said ed least we think Yankee's are all talk and rood witch i went to new York and meet some ass holes they thought i was racist and liked incest we make fun of that nobody i know does that there's a town for that tiger ridge joke deep southerners might get it i'm from Georgia really maters on were u are there's an accent for each state really

Northeastern: Sound nasally and whiny.
NY/NJ: Sound like a mobster
The South: Sound like an inbred hillbilly.
The Midwest: Sound like a nasally farmer
The West: Sound like a surfer.
