  • Whoever mixed this should be canned..... Not only was Brecker's mic not up but you can't hear Marcus' bass either.....

  • i remember watching this on tv whenever it was on, 1988? Brecker was subbing for Miles Davis, who was supposed to do the show but was ill. Yes, the audio mix was awful.

  • @jonathangrooves I hate sound guys. They've either had too much coffee or are asleep at the wheel.

  • F%$#ing retarded audio!

  • AHHHH!!!! This could have been good, but damn it all.....this is why I'm going into the recording industry. To prevent happenings of this kind. And on the grammys as well. SMH

  • Forget it Jake; it's Grammytown.

  • Someone please get that sound tech guy and wack him hard!

  • i love sanborns style so much

  • @jazztom86 True-at this point im tired of arguing, so ill concede at this point. the mans got talent, just a talent i'm unaccostumed to listening to

  • I saw a version of this at a different angle but maybe it was closer, but brecker was cranking out, like same volume regardless of the mic

  • What an incredibly disappointing mix...

  • @KMmusicman and what I want to say it's that it's not about who YOU like that makes his level. David Sanborn is without doubts technically an amazing saxophone player, and I see no reason to compare him to anyone. I like Brecker more too, but I don't think that Sanborn is not on his level. He just chase another way. If you like it or not it's your business. Man, also Pat Metheny makes a lot of money with his group, and they essentially play instrumental pop. Doesn't mean he's a bad guitarist.
