"A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence agst. foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people." ~ James Madison

Thank you Mr. McClintock. "Me..they'll remember me for what I am. I worked hard to be remembered. If you're content with just sitting back in the darkness, not being remembered, then fine. But I'm not. All eyes on me." - Russell Jeremiah Brott Proctor. My brother had a way of making every person want to be better. We wanted to try harder, to run faster, to learn more, to love more, to live more...when he spoke. Russ was more than a great soldier: he was a great man.

What a loving tribute, Tom! Yes, what would our country do without people like him. And I thank you for thanking God for His life.
