WPVI - June 23, 2009 - 5pm Open Old Studios

I'm putting this up as a comparison to the refreshed look that debuted September 12, 2009, so you can see what they changed and what they didn't. This cap is DVD quality but not full HD, and the slight glitch in the open is due to WPVI's crappy over-the-air signal.

From June 23, 2009, the first day of Summer and consequently the first day of Summer Opens for Action News. With the digital switchover complete, the legal id was modified back to WPVI-TV Philadelphia. I've included the pre-open Remembering Gary Papa ID. The Breaking News graphic features the in-show Move Closer To Your World update that 615 made for promos, topicals, and stings. Other than that... it's Action News, so there's no point in analyzing it to death.
