  • if you like duckpin you'll love rgilbert82 's film

  • chunky532...."looks like candle pin bowling, but with fatter pins that fall down easier

"- chunky532.....once again i'll repeat myself "NOBODY has ever rolled a 300 in duckpin" . Duckpin pics up the "dead wood" unlike candlepin. I'm not going to argue that candlepin is easy, I wouldn't know, never tried it.

  • @akadeener I've heard candlepin is the hardest from someone that bowls tenpin, duckpin, and candlepin. Even with the dead wood, a strike just doesn't happen nearly often enough when you do hit the pocket! I really want to try both of these....maybe next time I'm in MA I'll see if I can find a candlepin alley.

  • @gamemeister27 , oddly, I've never tried candlepin, but i'd like too. Now, I just have to find one. Thanks for your post ! - akadeener

  • spent many hours at Woodlawn back when I was cutting classes at West Haven High.

  • @satinbarbi did we ever play ? lol...

  • @akadeener @akadeener But a 300 is a benchmark of someone who has done really well.. if the benchmark for duckpin is very low.. as in that the top 35-40% of score possibilities are extremely hard to attain.. something is off balance with the game. You want a game with a nice bell pattern curve.. with ten pin, you have your little kids who average 50.. casual teens/adulst 50-120... serious bowlers/leaguers 120-180... competitive players 180-220.. pros who average 220+ on harder lane conditions..

  • @akadeener just curious.... what's your average in duckpin? I'm 115. Am I good?

  • @akadeener there hasn't been a 300 in candle or duck pins. 241 has been done twice in candlepin. I'd say duckpin is slightly easier, the ball is a bit larger, and the pins are fatter as well. AMF Airways in Springfield, MA has 8 lanes of candlestick for those of you in CT looking to try it. It's the closest candlepin house I know of. There's tons once you get north of CT though, not sure about RI.

  • wish they had this in the Michigan area!

  • looks like candle pin bowling, but with fatter pins that fall down easier

  • i use to bowl duckpin in CT, RIP to the lady u see talkin at the 55 second mark, she passed away she use to run alot of the tournaments and crap in CT
