Ultimate Frisbee in Burma Refugee Camp

Who knew you could play Ultimate in a refugee camp. We helped coach and played Ultimate with some Karen teen refugees on the Thai/ Burma border at their refugee camp. We had 11 teams for the tournament and despite the dust field they had a great time. It is amazing how short the life span of a disc is on a dirt field. These kids were amazing player!

Excellent. This vid was posted to our ultimate FB page SCUFA, St. Croix Ultimate Frisbee) a few days ago and is becomming a hit. Sure, the video and soundtrack are cool and profesional. But giving kids in a refuge camp an activity like this is the really incredible part. Obviously none of them would have even heard of it before. It looks like they were enjoying themselves and there was cordial sportsmanship on the field. The Sprit of the Game. Please send this to the UPA, they'll love it.
