Narrator's voice could only be heard in some parts of the story. This is one of my favorite books to read to the kids. Nice try though.

I am actually in school to become an elementary school teacher now, and we discussed in class how we would teach this book. We said 2nd grade was probably the best age group, and that we could introduce themes like unions, strikes, and ultimatums before reading the story. Kids pick things up quickly, and the concepts can be explained pretty easily.
Your mom has a great reading voice. It must've been great listening to stories she read you when you were little. ^_^

It was fantastic, but my favourite was her Mickey Mouse voice. Oh man. It was horrible. But it didn't matter...she is the best story reader.

Ultimatums? Neutral Parties? A bit heavy for kids, isn't it? It's cute in any case. Slightly Orwellian, this one. ^_^

I know it. I always thought it was slightly over the heads of children. And who has ever heard of a typewriter? I mean, really. Children don't know what these things are.
