  • "Louis, this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.."

    CLASSIC!

  • yeSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! such great script writing!

  • "Shocked, shocked!..." LOVE it!

  • :D me too.

  • I love how after Renault takes his winnings, Rick immediately turns to the bus boy who gave him the cash and starts busting his chops.

Gaah, why aren't there any awesome actors like Bogart today?

  • I guess because they're all too caught up in the 'rich' life and not focusing more on the parts they play.

  • How can anyone NOT favorite this!!

  • Why aren't there awsome actors like Bogart today? Because the actors back then actually lived a real life before becoming actors. Many never intended to be actors so they brought a lot of real life to their acting, as opposed to the actors today who never lived a real life and have been acting since they were kids - in one fashion or another.

  • My senior qoute came from this scene....

  • Rick looks like a Sabianiste du PPF than american in this filme and ingrid Berman une spione au service de Jean Luchaire..Conrad Veidt a spanish guardia civil

  • Probably one of my favorite scenes as well.

  • how did everything change so quickly? Life sure does seem like a carefully programmed lie. Movies within a big confusing play.

  • "Rick?.. he's the kind of man that, well, if I were a woman, and I were not around, I should be in love with Rick" Wonderful line, as they all were. And so, so true. Without Bogie and Bergman it would not have been as good, but everything else about it is perfect as well.

  • A little aside, Bogart was no Elephant Man in terms of looks, but i have a really hard time swallowing the wish-wash from this pack of 'models turned actors' we have going these days. It's totally ruined the horror genre for example. Empathy is crucial in cinema; try feeling empathy for a model...near impossible imo...

  • "Better make it 10. I'm just a poor corrupt official."

  • who was the lady playing the guitar during the french national anthem

  • Major Strasser has been shot!

.....that long pause and the looks between Rick and the Captain .......

    Round up the usual suspects!

  • im shocked shocked....=CASABLANCA forever in our language.
