@niteholler Black Panters and Brown Barrets (could not find correct spelling) were saying 'no more police brutality' - they were neighborhood militia.
I didn't believe in police brutalityuntil I saw Rodney King video, but then I understood - too many law enforcement personal act as if they are facing the enemy.
I've dealt with both the decent and with the 'crack your skull' types since then.
I've have both, called the cops and had them called on me!

Okay, you guys. Love to get comments on this one, esp. One of my goals for this summer is to "fix" the timing on it. It really sucks as far as transitions go. I think with the corrections I could make it more dramatic. Not that it would change your collective opinion (!) but that's okay too. One of the things I have done all my life is not just VISIT places that interested me, but MOVE there and live there for a good length of time. That brings things into focus. Things like this. :)

I lived there for 7 years, having lived in several other major metros across the US. I have no defense if you haven't tried it. I suggest not. Anyway, the only way I can substantiate this is a former boyfriend telling me "Everybody has a reason for NOT leaving Phoenix." I escaped with my life, literally and figuratively. Form your own opinion, but thanks for the input. Really. NP.
