why did merrill collapse and end up in hospital,what was wrong with him?

@pattyken1 Merrill has suffered with health problems for many years. He is diabetic and has suffered strokes. He also suffered with depression from quite young. Considering all of this, makes you realise just how talented and dedicated he really is.

I wasn't even aware of this movie and I thought I knew all things Osmond  Thank you for posting this. Can it be purchased anywhere? I am a huge fan of all of them.

Thank you soooooo much for this movie, it brings back alot of memories! I remember, as a child, my mother having a cow, when I told her I was going to turn Mormon, she shot my dreams to pieces of ever having a chance to marry Donny, but when I told her I was going to marry Michael Jackson instead, she didn't say much, go figure.

I Loved The Plan album,....I can still remember the song, "War in Heaven",.......I played that album, until it wore out, the same with Crazy Horses. I still luv u!

To onthe165: You have no clue what you are talking about, there WAS no substance abuse, or drugs or divorce amonth the Osmond singing group AND Verl and Tom. Their dancing, composing, mastering instruments, singing, harmonizing was second to NONE. No group has surpassed with this range of talent. Their commitment to their religion's standards has set them apart from most other performers. They just chose a corrupt financial manager, happens to so many in this biz. TERRIFIC OSMONDs always.

They were naive and foolish. They chose to be puppets and clowns. Instead of writing and playing real meaningful music they made pop bubblegum crapola. They failed because they had no real soul or guts. People like this lower the bar to such a point that true art and music suffers as a result. I can't feel bad for people like this. The whole mormon thing was a joke as well. Divorces, alcohol and substance abuse? How wholesome! Junk like this is part of the reason why american culture is so dumb.

I so remember watching this when it was on, but hadn't seen it since, so "thank you" doesn't even cover my gratitude for posting this on here...saved the whole thing to my favorites. I know Merrill recently had back surgery, but other than that, do u happen to know how he's doing today? Sorry to hear he has diabetes..my mom passed from it two years ago, so know how devastating it can be

@pattyken1 I remember this tour. I saw them at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, and though it wasn't the same without Merrill, it is really amazing that they could go out and put the show together, and cover him. They are truly GREAT performers!!

@dundonian35 I never knew he had all that,bless him....his love for singing and his fans must keep him going,he was such a good dancer when he was young :)
