only with the firewire optional inerface card. otherwise use tdif for 24 track. Use your MOTU anyway, for wordclock sync and extra channels over TDIF - give ure MAC a rest and dont pile it all on ure computer. use the hardware to do the job it was designed to do.

Question im buying the DM-4800 and from what i was told is that "You dont need an audio interface to run the dm 4800, that you can run it str8 into your mac pro"..
Does the Tascam run as a primary audio interface so i can plug it str8 into my MAc pro quad.
plz let me know so i can get rid of my motu 828mk3 if i dont need to use it with the Tascam 4800.
