  • Johnny Horton was a Rockabilly cat..............

  • Love the 78's. Ive been loadin' a few as well. I love johnny horton. hey....Does yours have a flip needle for going from 45 to 78, or do you use the same needle? Just curious. I switch back-n-forth, but see some players that have both speeds and the same needle. Seems like a bad idea.

  • same needle manage all speeds

  • Thanks for uploading these. I was turned on to Johnny Horton by my dad at age 10 in 1974. I'm a guitar player because of his music.

Never gets his due from the Nashville establishment because he was loyal to the Louisiana Hayride and not the Grand ole Opry. Some didn't like that he married Hank Williams' widow a year after Hank died.

In my mind he was one of the greats. The Grady Martin guitar sound, as well as Luther Perkins was the signature or this era of country.

    Mmmm..mighty nice.

  • go johnny!!!!

R.I.P man i hope the drunk fucker who t-boned your car burnes in hell while you rock on in heaven

  • we miss you johnny wish you was still around to show these youngsters know what true country is and always will be long love johnny and his great music

  • wish our 45 of this song had survived. MY Dad and I both LOVED HIS MUSIC>

Unfornatually most of my fav singers died when i was in grade school

  • Johnny asked Elvis if he could use Bill Black cuz he wanted that same sound on his records--Johnny was a true rocker

  • hello

  • I didn't mean to imply that Bill played in Johnny's back up band. Only that he and Grady were the studio guys heard on the recording. My guess is Bill was looking to pick up a little extra money.

  • @bruiser i knew Bill played for Elvis for

awhile, didn't know about Johnny. I saw

an old Martin guitar on Antiques Roadshow

    that was worth $35,000 now

  • do you know about his background singers ect. Wish istill had a record player

that did 78's. still have some

  • THANKSSO MUCH!! This is my first Johnny

song i ever heard. we had the 45, but it

    dissapeered.

  • he plays the best music back in the 50
