  • @Tolstoy111 yes, they "quoted" heavily from Muzio Clementi when writing that song in 1965. This one is blatant, but it's not so unusual. Many pop songs do the same. Easily recognizable ones: Lady Gaga quotes J.S. Bach in "Bad Romance," John Denver quotes tchaikovsky in "Annie's Song," "Lover's Concerto" is really Bach minuet in G, etc.
