Great tiebreak, I remember when I saw it the first time; when all looked lost in that set & yet such a tremendous turn-around, Pete going Clutch-play like nobody else can!

Thanks for all the Sampras Videos, Techtribal! I love watching him play. These are some of my favorite Matches of Pistol Pete:

2. Sampras v Becker Masters 1996 F 3:6; 7:6; 7:6; 6:7; 6:4
3. Sampras v Agassi Wimbledon 1999 F 6:3; 6:4; 7:5
4. Sampras v Kafelnikov Masters 1997 F 6:3; 6:2; 6:2
5. Sampras v Rafter Davis Cup 1997 6:7; 6:1; 6:1; 6:4

that was awesome

Krajicek had a winning lifetime record over Sampras. This is more of a segment that shows Krajicek missing an opportunity. He could have put the volley away on his first set point. Sampras became a great champion but when they played against each other I thought Krajicek looked like the better player. He just did not have the mental toughness of Sampras.

At 2.37, great backhand by Richard, greatly described by J.P. Mc Enroe.

when pete showed emotion he was all out, players nowadays should watch this and shit themselves this is how tennis is supposed to be played.
amazing player...I love Pete and thanks for posting this tiebreak....do you had the entire match? I never saw this match

Yes I do but its not a match I would upload, its about 2 hrs 30 minutes long so just too much hassle. It is one of my favourite matches though. I have the Italian version and USA network version. I prefer the Italian one because John McEnroe never stops talking on the USA network one!
I think someone has uploaded some highlights of this match recently.

Great stuff...Can't believe it by the way: the crowd is actually silent during the points... Nowadays at the us open it's all screams, all the time..

That's an interesting point. But you know when you are at an event and you are witnessing something special - the crowd here really erupted each point after the backhand pass, they were very attentive and concentrated, willing Sampras back into the tiebreak mentally then erupted when he produced the goods.
A classic crowd response in a special moment.
