Realistically, IF both Madara and his brother still could see by the time they fought the First for leadership of Konoha, there is no way that Hirashima would take them both on by himself. I don't think the battles were "arranged" but Madara and Hirashima had their rivalry, so if it was Madara and his brother, it would make sense that the first and his brother would pair up to counter that.
Realistically speaking Madara's brother would eventually go blind by then.

Now why would Madara settle for second best, which he would have to do since his brother still possessed the mangekyou? Not to mention the fact it would only be a matter of time before his brother also went blind, and then they would both lose their extra ocular powers. It hasn't been shown yet that you can activate mangekyou TWICE, even with transplanted eyes (and we are not even sure how kakashi activates his mangekyou as far as specifics)

@Eric188092 ahh.... indeed unless he took out some of another uchiha's eyes insted of his brothers and maybe make another mangekyou all-over again or if not he can use the simple plain old sharigan,i mean with his brother i dont think he needs Mangekyou i read the manga his fire ball jutsu's very prowerful :)
