  • They sould rebuilit this bilding even thow muder is not a thing to anoer and schultz is one of favorites gangsters but i think it would be fun to re create it into a reserunt and call it dutch schultzs palace chop house .

  • I read in Sann's book about Dutch that it was dry cleaners (and the book was written in 1970) so i wonder if they rebuilt the restaurant again or what was there when it was razed?

  • The Palace Chop House should be rebuilt on the site; why not? Newark has the popular Belmont Tavern up on Bloomfield Avenue, as well as the excellent Michelangelo's restaurant nearby; an enterprising developer should rebuild the old Palace Chop House with an eye toward historical authenticity; it would feed the public's love of nostalgia and contribute to an historical preservation of Newark's colorful past.
