@vicariousfangs Even if you're lucky enough to have side armor, the armor covering your chest is likely to be thicker and cover more, meaning if you have to get shot, you'd rather get shot there.

@vicariousfangs Not really. Standing square doesn't actually add as much "target" as you'd think. It also makes you a lot more accurate. I'd rather present more target, and get 80% accuracy, than have some kind of jacked up sideways angle shooting position and only be able to land 20% of my shots.

Furthermore, if you're actually in a "tacticool" job, like HRT, SWAT, or similar you actually WANT to square up on your target, especially if they can shoot back.

I understand he is fast but my question is in a real world shoot out do you really want to give your advisary a wide target to hit? I always see these pro shooters stand straight at a target and squat. Seems like it would only be good for target that dont shoot back. Just an observation.

Remember to put your right thumb on top of your left thumb, otherwise your thumb is on the slide stop and the slide won't lock back when empty. At first that was the one thing I absolutely hated about my dad P226. Now, it's my favorite handgun.
