as far as i know, the Genius feature is powered by Gracenote technology, which was bought out by Sony a few years ago.
this feature is not unique to iTunes. in fact, iTunes has consistently lagged behind other media players in terms of innovation. playlist generators using Gracenote can also be found in Winamp, MediaMonkey, and AIMP2.
is Genius cool? heck yeah. was it Apple's idea? no no no. can you find it in other media players? absolutely.

Sometimes I say things TO MAKE YOU LAUGH!!! That was a sly misprouncment of a word to make you perk up a bit! I do that all the time in my videos (now you know one of my secrets!) HA HA!!! Thanks for the comments... Bill

I have a question that I'm hoping anyone can help me out with. I downloaded this today and now I can't access my itunes. My computer kept asking me if I wanted to upgrade so i decided to, but now whenever I try to get to my itunes it says that it requires quicktime. I already have that, but just to be safe I downloaded the newest version of that but it still says that. Any thoughts? Has this happened to you?

I did NOT have that problem when I installed this. Your music library is still on your computer. Just go to "File" - "Add Folder to Library..." and point to where your music is and it will correctly get them back into ITUNES... Good Luck! Bill
