Listen to any solo by Yngwie Malmsteen....

.....Almost identical to a lot of Schenker's.

It's pretty sad that Schenker is without a doubt in the top 5 greatest rock guitarists of all time, yet not very many people even who know who he is.

All-the-while Schenker is was a HUGE influence on guys like Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhoads, Kirk Hammett, etc.

It's a shame he's so overlooked by people who say they like rock.

One of the best ever, if not the best ever!

He's number 1 in my book.

Well I´m also 17, and my opinion is, that the 70´s and 80´s hard rock and metal music, bands just like DIO, Sabbath, MSG, Pretty Maids and so on, is the best all over the world.

It´s such a shame to see, what they´ve done to metal nowadays....look at korn or slipknot: That´s only shit!

I think, that I was born 25 till 30 years to late.....

Schenker, Yngwei , Dave Maniketti, amongst others are all underrated musicians, you have to take into account that the music industry is into mass sales to sheeple.... not into selling quality music.... I mean look at the sales charts... they are selling garbage with monotonic rhythms, repetitive and superficial lyrics, no substance what so ever... and some of the lyrics are detrimental... its SAD

@avonlea77 There is still music like this being created, but mainstream deems it "unpopular" so these types of bands are relegated to the "Independant" status. Look up some of these bands to fill your soul with all the power metal/progressive metal you can find Threshold Vanden Plas Andromeda Circus Maximus Symphony X Tomorrows Eve Seventh Wonder Stride Riverside Venturia Poverty's No Crime Enchant Lydian Sea Avian Pagans Mind others - Porcupine Tree, Pendragon, A.C.T.

Didnt really like the McAuley era although I bought EVERY MSG album.

I ilked Robin when he was in Grand Prix - am I showing my age??

I hate it when people say Michael who? This German god made me what I am today through his original guitar tone, sound and feeling.

Met him again recently and he is fitter and healthier than ever before - cant wait for the Schenker Brothers Tour.
