"Maui Minutes" is a brief reflection on Maui's amazing marine life, miutes at a time. Here The Hawaiians call this fish an "Ulua", or Trevalle/Jack. They can get as big as 80-100 pounds and dominate the reef system. Malama O Ke Kai / Respect Our Ocean.

  • Majestic Predatory fish. Was that one a 100+ pounder?

  • I wish 100+ but 60 lbs. was more like it.

  • Beautiful shots. I would be tryin' to spear it!

  • I want to be this fish...now..

  • sounds like sublime? really? ur that white?

  • Who's the musician and song on your video?..love it. Sounds like sublime, but don't think it is them

  • Mahalo! I would just love to hook up with even a 10 pounder. The largest I've ever hooked/landed was a 22.5 inch 6+ Pound White Papio...Still trying for the elusive Ulua but the Island of Oahu is kind of fished out so they are pretty hard to come by.
