Here's a tip for the peanut gallery: go tell mama and dada about your tips while the rest of us adult home owners get ideas from this video. All the little kiddies are "pro" armchair painters with no vids. "YA well I've been painting for 15 years!" We don't care and we're not here for you either. Go open a Twitter account and be a big mouth there.

Take off the trim if you can. Put them on saw horses outside. Clean them and the roll them. You won't have to worry about brush marks and they have a consistency of color and texture.

This guy is an actual painter, that's how the pro's do it. Just make sure you get a pro quality brush and thin the paint about 5% so you don't get thick brushmarks.

heres a better tip. make all your cuts, spray them with spray paint, nail them on, fill the holes with calking... DONE. No brush marks, no hassle with paint, no mess.
