xena questions 1 -- ares.wmv

I watched justanameyo's video the other day and I really liked the idea she had to ask Xena fans Xena quesions. I think it's a great way to get into some good conversations that we can all relate to.
So, here's my version. These questions deal mostly with Ares (because I love him!) but I plan to make more of these videos later on.
So here's whay YOU do. answer the questions with your own thoughts, comments, and opinions and post your answers as comments.

O1 : He just uses Gaby to get Xena, he almost says it to Gabrielle in the episode Old Ares Had A Farm, he says he saved gabrielle only to save xena, and he adds that gaby was an afterthought !

Q2 : That would have been hard ! But well Ares was the god of war, he couldn't be good . But i think he would have tried to be good !

Q3 : Omg, he was totally not her father ! Ur right, she only told that story to get of the whole Furies thing !

I think that Ares could have eventually became a good person, if he never got his god-hood back. If Xena had agreed to live out her life with him, with both of them as mortals, I think he would have strived to become a good person in order to keep her.

Q1: he always wanted xena not gab i think he loved xena very much but he is too much god to express that and they needed subtext

Q2: she would... but all relationships they had were based on that that xena becomes his queen or ares becomes better so probbably they wouldent last long cuz neither of them wanted to change

Q3:well no! i think ares isnt that pervert i mean she probbably was his true love so he couldnt be her father but if he is her father thet just wouldnt be right it would be sick

@slavebonesfreak I definately agree that Xena was Ares true love as you said in response to Q3 and that's why I think he would really try to change to be with her.

Q1: I think it was a bit of both. I think he did see potential in Gabrielle but he was using that to get to Xena.

Q2: Yeah, I think she could have. If she'd been interested in having a relationship w Ares, she could have changed him. She was already starting to in seasons 5 & 6.

Q3: No, Ares isn't Xena's father. That was just a story she made up to convince the furies to leave her alone. They even say she made up at the end once the furies have left.

I agree that there was potential in Gabrielle, I mean she learned from Xena, after all, but I'm not so sure that Ares had really seen that or that he was concerned with it.
