Alan Futterman conducts the Academy Chamber Orchestra from Seattle, WA, on June 13th, 2009, in a performance of the first movement of my second symphony. I wrote the piece in 2004.

  • Are the remaining movements of your symphony on your CD? And what about that first symphony?

Thanks for answering, I'll gladly pay to listen to the whole piece.

  • Both my first and second symphonies were very early practice works. I doubt any of the other movements of either symphony will ever be performed. This was the only movement that I actually worked on with a composition teacher at the time.

  • @KoAnalog It doesn't matter if it's difficult. It's a wonderful composition to be composed at such an early age! Catchy themes too! :D

  • Simply beautiful work Lennon! What are you doing in life now?

  • this is absolutely breathtaking my man. to think that you wrote tis yourself gives me the want to compose some of my own things. thank you once again and please keep up the beautiful work.

  • Anyone can criticize!

...It takes true genious to find the brilliance in every moment!

    Really!

  • Bravi Tutti!

I found each moment that I listened filled with a gentleness that I actually noticed. Jay Kimball used the word inspirational and I agree your music does exactly that, it inspires. yes indeed!

    thank you

  • This is a nice sounding piece and all, but to tell you the truth, it doesn't sound to terribly difficult. Though the orchestra you played with and had perform the piece is a good orchestra. It sounds as if my old high school's orchestra could have played this piece just as well. Though it is also a very talented group of young professionals.

  • I can only agree with the other posters.

Awesome work, keep it up and keep posting!
