I was penpals with Sir Frederic, when I was at university. He was also a talented modern artist, who painted "Spiked" versions of classics like "Blue Boy", and later worked in the animation department of the Mr. Magoo cartoon series.
I have a framed miniature collage/painting that he sent me. I treasure it!
