@Gilch30 I still call Alex Smith a bust. As a prolific quarterback, he's been lousy for 4 years and mediocre for the last 3. The only reason he has any success is as a guy who has learned to manage the game and not be the guy who loses it. The coaches had to figure out that everyone else has to carry HIM, on the back of a strong running game and a damn good defense. That's like saying Rex Grossman is why the 06 Bears made it to the Superbowl and that was in his first ever full season.

LEAVE ALEX SMITH ON HERE. I firmly believe that they had a good year this year, but it won't last. The 49ers defense is great but come on.....how can a team POSSIBLY win with Alex Smith.
