  • JESUS is alright with me too..........

  • Roger McGuinn has said that this version of the Byrds (Clarence White , Skip Battin, and Gene Parsons) was probably the best performing lineup. The classic first lineup included two guys who were relatively new to their instruments, Michael Clarke on drums and bass player Chris Hillman, who was a mandolin player, along with McGuinn, David Crosby, and Gene Clark.

This lineup in this video was under appreciated, and its great to see the great Clarence White, who died too young and too soon,

  • @snapperjohn1000 Where did you hear that? Wiki says the doobs version came out in 72 the Byrds covered it in 69 along with a lot of other bands.

  • @snapperjohn1000 AR Reynolds wrote it in 66. Doobies made it way after the Byrds, if you don't like the live version what about the album cut? I like it way more than the Doobies.

  • @snapperjohn1000 well bust my britches i just found out that this is an old gospel song written by AURTHUR REYNOLDS and first recorded by the doobs.

  • @irishace11 Yes if i am not mistaken the doobie brothers wrote the original song , is that not correct? Any way i think that this version by the byrds is lame.

  • @snapperjohn1000 You mean The Doobie Brother's version?

  • lol

  • sort of lame realy ,as compared to the original and i usualy like covers.

  • @superbeavo Loved that guy

  • One of my all time favorite bands.... pleasure of seeing them several times :-)

  • the Byrs........Greatly talented musicians at playing this beautiful song.
