In 1996 BNSF is still owners of the Elma to Shelton branch about a year before being taken over by the PSAP. On this morning we catch up with the train near McCleary WA where the line meets the Elma-Hicklin road. Later we scoot over to Arcadia road above the line near Walker Park where it then drops down to Shelton WA. The train is set out and the brace of GP38s pull back into the depot.

  • I like it! No stupid orange crap!

  • GP 38-2s were the normal assigned power for the branch in the 1990s. Note the lead unit with the white face.

  • Thanks for sharing this video. I grew up in Elma and always liked trains. Now I do model railroading and I have been looking for old picts taken of the BN in Grays Harbor Co. Too Bad I didn't think of getting out the video camera in the 80's...

  • another great video!

  • Great stuff mate!!! I'm Paolo from Italy and I was there in Shelton the last august. What a wonderful place the whole pacific northwest. I wish I was there now!

All your videos remind me my trip: I drove 6000 miles in 20 days. Take care and thanks again.

    Paolo.
