Lenovo G550 How To Replace Hard Drive

People make fun of me for the way I pronounce "Cache". So watch this video and you just might laugh!

My old 5400rpm, 250GB hard drive was messing up bad. Spin Rite was saying there were millions of errors and etc. I even ran it on mode 5! (if you don't know what that is, you haven't used that program or you don't understand how to use it).

So I bought a new hard drive and replaced the old one. This is for people that don't know how to change hard drives.

my g550 is about 2-3 years old. I need to a buy a new hard drive. The new hard drive has a SATA connection, and I dont remember what kind of connection mine has right now... does it matter?

@ItsQuagmire1 pretty much everything since like 06 or 07 is not sata... nothing uses the older (slower) IDE connections.

@ItsQuagmire1 it's pretty cheap these days... I'm 26 and I remember when 40GB was A LOT! because it would take forever just to download 1 mb!

@wwjoshdew yeah, tell me about it. Im only 16 but when I was like 7 years old I remember seeing some overpriced pc hardware. Funny how things got cheap so much in such little time. Now im waiting for the SSD drives to be cheap too :P

Hey thanks for the tutorial. I had a quick question, does Lenovo always use Fujitsu HDs? Are they any good? I got a G770 coming soon and was thinking about replacing the HD with something more reliable, should I or put my faith in the Stock drive?
