  • Very. very good indeed, although this reviewer prefers Gjórgijev to Dutoit as a conductor and accompanist.

  • Shostakovichwas a great admirer of this cycle of 4 songs written by Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky so he orchestrated them, originally wriiten for voice and piano and written between 1875-77
