Thank for good idea , that idea may be on the last step because we must be use the bigger engine to give more power, small engine is not so good for Power to weight ratio.
yes, it must to be bigger. and remember - brushless motor can work as generator, - output from it you can convert to DC with circuit from car generator...
I am curious - is it as stable as a normal electric quad? Like, if you took it up high and in slight winds?? I like the design :-) Are you saying the engine does 80% of lift? I cannot believe - 30minutes really? Wow! Good work!
I have some video clip about hybrid copter that fly in the strong wind on the beach and some clip have already tested more than 30 minute flight time by NGH 17 CC GAS engine , 550 CC tank fuel and 3000 mA 3 cell LiPo but i can not link to here ( error )
