On a warm sunny Sunday afternoon in July 2007. I decided to take the land yacht out for a spin after washing her. Here is another video of a walk around showing all sides. The song you here playing is Rock Me Gently by Singer Andy Kim #1 hit for 1974. The speakers are original but the stereo has been replaced with an alpine cd player. The Landau bars you see also on the side of car were an aftermark item that was on the car when i bought it, mostly seen on 60's T-birds and hearses in the night time the middle part lights up with the headlamps on.

  • Thanks Jack. The Landau Irons were an after market item that came with the car when i bought it. Options for '78 included two-tone colored paint on the deck lid, optional manual sunroof and the trailer package both rare to see these days. The car you see originally had a front bug protector on the top grill but was missing and i would like to find a replacement but have had no luck.

  • @wilkes85 i had one as well. a marquis, not a grand and it was a 2 door /460 engine, a HUGE car, zero effort power steering, and COMFY

  • I remember when these cars were new. Big, fine, comfortable cars. Great ride!

  • Shes a beauty! I love that color combo....

The sun roof, I thought they where all power not manual? The movie "Uncle Buck", John Candy drives one....very tired and not even close to being as nice as yours....

    Thanks for posting!

  • Very beautiful car. I've seen a ton of '78 Grand Marquis's. Mostly 4 doors, and each one of them in showroom condition.

  • Nice, Nice!! Very rich combination with the 1/4 vinyl roof and the LANDAU IRONS! Wow! Love the contrasting vinly piece on the decklid and the trim around the bottom, and the fenderskirts! A real cruiser! :) Jack
