I'm getting ready for "open stance" playing, stolen from Travis Orbin (who originally got the idea from Mike Mangini). In a few weeks I'll be adding a second pair of hats to my right, so I can lead a section with either hand, playing open-handed mostly. Also, the tom setup allows for fills to be led with either hand easily. I usually have my bells in the gap in front of me, but thought it'd be fun to try the 10" tom there and see how turned out.

This was totally improvised, so forgive the disjointed sections and somewhat sloppy work from my left hand! As you can see, I'm currently attempting to strengthen it (hence the music stand, using my books to find some good exercises).
