what is there to do here for fun for a teenager? i moved here from chicago about 7 years ago and im pretty bored with rockford to say the least. they need to open up more 'teen friendly' attractions. most kids i know just get bored with all the stuff we have and get into drugs. maybe if we have more stuff to do around rockford(maybe) drug and crime rate would go down. maybe.

maybe that's a way too simplified way of looking at things. it's much more complicated than that. However, when teens are presented with an opportunity they look at it and growl. They ignore it. For example, nCenter. In a couple years hopefully there will be passenger rail service and teens could take that into chicago. However, when you are in chicago what is there to do? What happens wh en you get bored of what they have to do? You say there is nothing to do. lol

I just moved out of Rockford, not much there except restaurants and shopping. The city has really gone downhill in the past few years....no attractions of any kind except for the Rockford Speedway, Magic Waters, and Uncle Nicks....Ha, ha, if you're from Rockford, you know what i'm talkin about.

We also have midway village, anderson gardens, the new nicholas conservatory being built this year, gardens, historic haight village, clock tower museum, tinker swiss cottage, klehm arboretum, and several bike paths

good point. Rockford does leave alot to people be desired but i choose to hang out are positive travel and don't sit around whinning about it. Cool video BTW

@sk8rcam1993 There is Xtreme trampolines in Carol Stream, Coming to Naperville, There is the Mall, There is Magic Waters, and Cocokeys, And Gurnee Six flags, and Key lime cove, There are plenty of things, you just have to leave the city

I remember years ago a magazine did a study and said Rockford was the worst place to live and Madison was the best. I never thought the 2 cities were that much different. While I will admit Rockford is not a very interesting city its not as boring compared to other cities it's size like Roanoke VA.

I don't see the fuss about Rockford. I moved from Rockford to Phenix City Alabama in 2000 & believe me, THIS PLACE SUCKS UNLESS YOU LOVE MUDDING & HUNTING. I mean the big store here is Walmart. It's sad man. I miss Rockford because it's big & they're really is plenty to do...depends what you like for fun though.
