This is the now-infamous "Star Wars" commercial that I made for my campaign for Rockingham County Board of Education in 2006. It wound up being featured in The New York Times, on the Fox News Channel, every major newspaper in the state, on National Public Radio, the Canadian Broadcasting Company, by the Heritage Foundation, and it was screened at the Pixelodeon Independent Video Festival at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles in June of 2007. It's been shown on VH1's show "Web Junk 2.0", on E! Entertainment Television's show "The Soup", and it was also proclaimed the "Best campaign commercial ever" by George Lucas's Edutopia website!
And yes: this (along with two more commercials) DID broadcast on local television - on WGSR Star 39 in Reidsville, North Carolina - during the month leading up to the 2006 election. I did not win a seat. But I came in 8th place out of 16 candidates with 4,648 votes... which is a LOT, all things considered. And I wasn't that far off from getting a seat either: it was pretty close across the board for the most part. I'm *extremely* happy with how well I did :-)
Also, I know that I look horrible in the legal bumper at the beginning. That was filmed after going without sleep for three days straight. Please be kind :-)

I actually have an IMDB credit and Thousands of Sales of my product on Amazon and other sites. Video maker yes you are. Film maker... Not a chance! 'Ever run a jimmy jib, load a 35mm cartridge? But your are qualified to work the honey wagon. Are you a teamster or in a entertainment union? They gave you your fame because your performance was eccentric at best. Your behavior has continued to be weird and frighteningly disturbing to rational citizens of the area in which you live.
I judging people on work experience. Just because you can fly a RC plane doesn't qualify you to say I'm a 747 pilot. By the way if you plan on working in the film or broadcast industry you'll have a hard time finding work without it.
He calls himself a film maker.... A walmart video camera and PC with video editing software... I guess that make almost 80% of 12 year olds "Film Makers" The best part about this commercial is that it will never air again on TV unless people are in the mood for a good chuckle.
Even though things kind of suck right now you can still make smart investments to at least avoid the rate of inflation which is pretty large at the moment.. check out the newsletter from authoropen . com
