My 72 Gran Torino Sport start up

Start up and mild rev of my 72 Ford Gran Torino Sport fastback (yep, just like the movie, except for color) after over a month static. For the Torino fans, this is my first car. Purchased Friday, May 20, 88 from the original owner with 47xxx miles for 3200, which considering it needed a full auto trans rebuild at almost 400$ at the time shortly after I got it, it was 200 too much. Oh well. I grew up seeing the car in my neighborhood and just happened to drive by the day it was for sale after having long since forgot about it due to not seeing it for years.

Ask any Ford guy.....

Depress the gas pedal twice to the floor, then turn the key to start it without touching the pedal...will start right up 9 out of 10 times.

@365degrees Sure, if its driven regularly but its not the stock 2bbl, its the typical Holley 1850 4bbl. This hadnt been started for many weeks. In the desert here, the fuel had long since evaporated from the bowl.

i just bought a 72 torino 4 door hard top witha 302 2 barrel for $2500. it has 77,000 original miles on it . this is also my first car. well i bought a 93 mercury sable when i was 14 but i wanted something different and i always loved the 72 torino since the movie.
