I set out to film the volunteers who went to OB to clean up the SF bay oil spill. The oil spill was a devastating disaster to the area. It should not have happened. An oil spill is what started the environmental movement in the 60's and now it's 50 years later and leaders in the movement have found and pushed for alternative energy and fuels, both great accomplishments, yet we can't prevent the one thing that outraged this movement to begin with!
So with that frustration and motivation I edited and posted my video on youtube.
Thanks to a contest the film will be shown on February 2nd at the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival. I am so excited more people will see this!l
Thanks for putting this together. It's very well done and important.
5 stars!

Do you wear a face mask when you pump gas into your car?
This stuff isn't as bad as gasoline
I work on these ships, I work with heavy fuel every day, it's not that bad, it's basically just like tar

Thank you to all the brave men and women that help save our beaches. My question is these people took a 4-5 hour training and are wearing toxic suits, so, where our the face masks??
