Someone with the name Leros31 posts these photos of LEROS TREES KILLED! on their Blog. I created a Video with his photos. Please do everything that you can to help pass the message to stop KILLING the trees of Leros! Join the Group "Leros Island" on Facebook if you can and post your comments There. If you have a youtube account post your comments here and I will collate all comments and send them to the media the MAyor and anyone I can to help rasie awarnes.

They are not doing this in the name of progress. They are doing it in the name of PROFIT ! They have had a good run at selling houses at silly prices, and now they think only of building houses. No more trees, just houses and scrap metal everywhere. Do they think people want to live like that ? (oh, I have a beautiful house on a barren scrap yard called Leros ) I think not. I don't know if these developers are greedy or just plain stupid.

Though i am Greek, i will speak in English, so that even my friends all over the world know what this is all about. This island, Leros, is one of the most beautiful ones to the Aegean sea and it is one of those that cannot aford to lose not just a tree but not even one leafe of a tree. People, why are you doing this to your island? In the name of progress? come on now, i lhave lived there most of my life and i know better than that! So, stop doing this, it is a crime and a shame!
